QIM was meeting with Principal geologist of Geos Mining Sue Border on 09 November 2015. QIM’s internal metallurgist Dr. Qiu and senior engineer Mr. Kuang were also invited to attend this meeting. Meeting was focused on an in-depth discussion of technical aspects for upcoming mining activities, includes early stage mining location, feed preparation plant details, tailing disposal, detailed processing flowsheet and safety plan. QIM’s internal expert Mr. Kuang underlined that his patented technology of mineral sand process will be applied to QIM’s processing plant, which is considered as one of the most advanced processing technology nowadays in line with his EPC experience in more than hundred ilmenite mines . This patent technology will reduce the number of equipment on site to lower both capital and operating cost and most importantly reduce the environmental impact. Sue Border agreed with QIM’s innovative processing method and showed great interest on the technology. Both parties considered this meeting as informative and valuable for next step operation.
